Nobel Prize-winning Soviet scientist Andrei Sakharov will make his first visit to Japan in October to attend the second Nobel Laureates Forum.
Sakharov's lecture will be titled "Perestroika and Its Implications in the World."Sakharov, known as the father of the Soviet hydrogen bomb, and his wife, Yelena Bonner, also will visit Hiroshima during their tour of western Japan.
