Mtn. View downs Timpview

OREM — Mountain View's volleyball team beat Timpview in a non-region volleyball match Thursday night, 25-13, 25-4, 25-22. The Bruins' Courtney Condrad had seven aces on the night. Teammate Rachel Glassford had six kills.

REGION 1

LAYTON DEF. VIEWMONT 25-20, 25-21, 17-25, 27-25: Micah Lines had 28 kills and 26 digs while Christy DeCoursey had 41 assists for the Vikings.

WEBER DEF. FREMONT 25-22, 25-22, 19-25, 25-19: The Warriors' Haley Reeves had nine kills. Teammate Erin Jenkins added seven kills, three blocks and 18 digs, and Sage Ebert had 11 blocks .

DAVIS DEF. CLEARFIELD 25-14, 25-14, 25-23: Kayla Walker led the Dart offense with 18 kills while Amy Dunford had nine stuff blocks. Setter Anna Bullard finished with 25 assists and five digs, and Kasey Davis added six stuff blocks in the victory.

REGION 2

ALTA DEF. JORDAN 25-10, 25-9, 25-13: Witney Norton and Natalie Thompson combined for 10 solo blocks for the Hawks.

BRIGHTON DEF. HILLCREST 25-5, 25-18, 25-8: The Bengals swept the Huskies as Krista Kelley had nine kills with a hitting percentage of 82 percent. Cassandra Ricketts had 13 kills and a hitting percentage of 71 percent for the Bengals.

SKYLINE DEF. TAYLORSVILLE 25-27, 25-16, 28-26, 25-16: Skyline's Ari Logan recorded 20 kills, Katie Alstle had 14 kills and nine blocks, and teammate Alex Nelson added 19 defensive digs.

REGION 3

COPPER HILLS DEF. RIVERTON 20-25, 26-24, 25-27, 25-19, 17-15: The Grizzlies' Chelsey Sandberg had 25 kills, an ace and nine blocks as Copper Hills beat the Silverwolves in five games. Jori Donaldson had 16 kills and two blocks for Copper Hills. Kylee Vance chipped in for the winning cause with four kills and nine blocks.

WEST JORDAN DEF. BINGHAM 25-14, 13-25, 25-19, 25-18: Taisa Thompson had 16 kills and eight blocks, leading the Jaguars to victory over Bingham. Moe Ki had 40 assists for West Jordan.

HUNTER DEF. KEARNS 25-18, 25-14, 20-25, 25-14: The Wolverines were led by Rosey Falamaka, who had 12 kills, and Henrietta Saena, who added eight.
