    Alvin Gittins Gallery (department of art and art history, University of Utah) — "HIGH(calorie)ART," featuring recent works by Kent David Christensen through Oct. 5. Christensen will dicuss his work on Friday, Sept. 30, 6 p.m., in Room 158 followed by a reception from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

    Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery (Braithwaite Liberal Arts Center, Southern Utah University, Cedar City, 435-586-5432) — "Petroglyphs: A Panoramic Photography Exhibit," featuring 360degree photographs of Utah's rock art, through Oct. 29.

    Art Barn/Finch Lane Gallery* (54 Finch Lane, 596-5000) — "Sacred Geography," featuring art by Tom Bettin and Tom Dolan, and "Obsessed with Self," featuring art by John Erickson and Tom Hoffman. Both exhibits run through Nov. 4. Artists reception tonight from 6-8.

    St. George Art Museum (47 E. 200 North, St. George, 435-634-5942) — Main gallery: "Legendary Prints of the Southwest by Lon Megargee," featuring prints of the west. Mezzanine gallery: "William Shepley's Equestian West," featuring photographs of cowboys in action and repose. Also "Red, White & Rhyolite: the Sculpture Kirk McCoy." Legacy gallery: "The Rodeo in Paint by Lenka Konopasek," featuring paintings of rodeos. All exhibits run through Dec. 23.
