• The Utah Arts Council will hold a town meeting in the Provo City Library, Bullock Room, 550 N. University Avenue on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend and participate in a discussion of what art is important to the public. There will be a reception immediately following. • Salt Lake County will hold a workshop Monday, 3:30-5 p.m. to discuss the transitional 2005 application for all Tier II groups seeking zoo, arts and parks funding. The workshop will take place in the County Council Chambers, Room N1100. • The Springville Museum of Art announces a call for entries for its 20th Annual Religious & Spiritual Art of Utah exhibition that will run from Oct. 30- Dec. 28. Artwork must be received at the museum between Oct. 18-22. No entry fee charged. For more information call 489-2727.

• The Kimball Art Center will hold its September Art Talk on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The talk will feature a lecture, "The Making and Meaning of Literal Sculpture," by artist Adam Bateman. The artist's sculptures are currently on display in the center. For more information call 435-649-8882.
