The Utah Arts Council will hold a town meeting in the Provo City Library, Bullock Room, 550 N. University Avenue on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend and participate in a discussion of what art is important to the public. There will be a reception immediately following. Salt Lake County will hold a workshop Monday, 3:30-5 p.m. to discuss the transitional 2005 application for all Tier II groups seeking zoo, arts and parks funding. The workshop will take place in the County Council Chambers, Room N1100. The Springville Museum of Art announces a call for entries for its 20th Annual Religious & Spiritual Art of Utah exhibition that will run from Oct. 30- Dec. 28. Artwork must be received at the museum between Oct. 18-22. No entry fee charged. For more information call 489-2727.
The Kimball Art Center will hold its September Art Talk on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The talk will feature a lecture, "The Making and Meaning of Literal Sculpture," by artist Adam Bateman. The artist's sculptures are currently on display in the center. For more information call 435-649-8882.
