Aircraft problems halt Guard flight to Louisiana

A Utah National Guard C-5 aircraft that departed Wednesday for New Orleans returned shortly after takeoff because of mechanical problems. The plane was carrying equipment and personnel from the 85th Civil Support Team.

Details on the specific nature of the mechanical problems weren't available, but repairs are under way and the aircraft was expected to depart today, according to a statement from the Guard.
