PROVO The Sidney B. Sperry Symposium is accepting proposals for its 35th annual symposium at Brigham Young University in October 2006.
The symposium theme is "The Writing and Compilation of the New Testament." Proposals and papers must be consistent with the doctrines and practices of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
They will be judged on the basis of their quality, scholarly content, originality and contribution to an understanding of the topic.
A short thesis statement with an accompanying one-page outline of a plan to develop that thesis must be submitted by Oct. 3. Call Patty Smith at 422-3611 for information.
