Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, a nationally known New York radio host (whose talk show was canceled over the weekend by Bonneville International), will speak Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Salt Lake Marriott, 75 S. West Temple.
According to Annie Ballard, one of the local organizers of his Salt Lake visit, the rabbi will also be meeting with a group of 30 to 50 New Orleans evacuees, now relocated to Camp Williams, about helping them find jobs and housing.
The topic of his speech Wednesday is "The Brotherhood of Man and Its Threat in Our Time."
Although originally scheduled to have a $10-$15 admission charge, the event is free.
Ballard said the goal of the meeting is "to have Utah lead the way for the rest of the world in displaying true brotherly love."
