OREM — Late night and early morning motorists will have to add about 90 minutes to their trip to Heber City and beyond when the Utah Department of Transportation closes U.S. 189 for excavation work.
The stretch of highway by Deer Creek Dam in Provo Canyon will be closed Monday through Friday, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists may use I-15 and I-80 to Park City as a detour, UDOT spokesman Geoff Dupaix said.
