The Utah National Guard was busy Wednesday in support of Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

A group of four chaplains arrived at Camp Shelby, Miss.. The chaplains will provide religious support throughout the storm-ravaged gulf region, Maj. Hank McIntire said.

The Utah National Guard has 50 soldiers and airmen in the gulf region. Nearly 200 soldiers are currently on assignment here in Utah assisting with the evacuees, either at Camp Williams or airlifting evacuees from state to state.

Also Wednesday, a Utah Air National Guard KC-135 crew picked up 50 Oregon National Guard soldiers in Klamath Falls, Ore., and transported them to New Orleans, McIntire said.
