Searchers have exhausted leads in the hunt for an 18-year-old Cedar City youth missing since Thursday but were continuing their efforts Memorial Day as rain and snow fell on the mountains near the youth's home.
The search for Jason Edwards began Thursday, the day he was supposed to graduate from Cedar City High School. No clues have been found, Iron County Deputy Sheriff Frank Slack said."We're just hoping we'll get a break."
Authorities have also sent out fliers and contacted bus stations and airports.
Saturday, Airborne searchers from the Utah Civil Air Patrol and a canine team from the Rocky Mountain Rescue Dog Association joined hundreds of local residents in combing the mountainside near the youth's home in southeastern Cedar City, Slack said.
