Amy Moore (Readers' Forum, Sept. 1) should get her facts straight before extending her "sympathies" to the Provo family considering home-schooling their children.
Home-schoolers are not locked up in their homes 24/7. They are involved in all kinds of social activities with other home-schoolers, family, friends, neighbors and at church. Some even participate in regular school activities. If Amy believes home-schoolers need to be slammed against a wall or sexually harrassed, as she was, to get a good education, my sympathies are with her.
