MARK SPRAGG, author of "An Unfinished Life," and VIRGINIA SPRAGG, author of the screenplay for the film "An Unfinished Life," will appear together for a question and answer session, following the screening of the film, starring Robert Redford, Jennifer Lopez and Morgan Freeman, Monday, 7:30 p.m., Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South. Sponsored by The King's English and the Salt Lake City Film Center.

BILLY COLLINS, nationally renowned poet and author of several collections of poetry, including "Sailing Alone Around the Room" and "Nine Horses," will deliver the Dewey Lecture, Saturday, 7:30 p.m., Salt Lake City Main Library, 210 E. 400 South. Free tickets are available before the lecture at the Library Store, and tickets for a special reception with the speaker and priority lecture seating may be obtained for $50 each or $35 each when purchasing four or more tickets. Reception will be at 6 p.m.

JOEL LONG, JEFF METCALF, JACQUELINE OSHEROW, MICHAEL SOWDER and NATASHA SAJE will read from their poetry at City Art's 2005 Meltdown, Wednesday, 7 p.m., Salt Lake City Main Library Auditorium, 210 E. 400 South.

MARGOT LIVESEY, author of "Banishing Verona," will read from and sign copies of her novel, Thursday, 7 p.m., The King's English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East.

REBECCA GUEVARA, author of "The Trading of Ken," will read from and sign copies of her novel, Friday, 7 p.m., Ken Sanders Rare Books, 268 S. 200 East.

JAMES FERRELL, author of "The Peacegiver," will be the featured speaker for the Garden Luncheon Series, sponsored by Deseret Book, Saturday, noon, Thanksgiving Point.

CAROLE WARBURTON, author of "Eyes of a Stranger," will sign copies of her book, Saturday, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Seagull Book, 331 E. University Parkway, Orem; and from 1:30-3 p.m., Seagull Book, 1060 N. Main, Spanish Fork.
