Here's a rundown of the movies opening this fall. As always, the opening dates are subject to change.

SEPT. 9

CRONICAS — John Leguizamo plays a television journalist on the trail of a serial killer in this dramatic thriller. Spanish with subtitles.

THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE — Horror film based on the alleged true story of a priest tried in court for a fatal exorcism.

THE MAN — Comedy pairing Samuel L. Jackson and Eugene Levy as a special agent and a bumbling innocent who must pose as his partner.

MOBSTERS AND MORMONS — This locally made comedy follows a Mafia family sent to Utah as part of the Witness Protection Program.

THE TALENT GIVEN US — Part documentary, part scripted comedy, this film follows a retired New York couple driving cross-country to reconcile with their son.

TELL THEM WHO YOU ARE — Mark Wexler's documentary profiles his father, acclaimed cinematographer Haskell Wexler ("One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest").

AN UNFINISHED LIFE — Drama starring Jennifer Lopez as a single mother trying to reconcile with her father-in-law (Robert Redford).

SEPT. 16

JUST LIKE HEAVEN — Romantic fantasy starring Reese Witherspoon as a ghost who falls for the man (Mark Ruffalo) she's haunting.

LORD OF WAR — Thriller about the cat-and-mouse game between an arms dealer (Nicolas Cage) and the Interpol agent (Ethan Hawke) pursuing him.

PROOF — Drama starring Gwyneth Paltrow as a woman who fears she may have inherited her father's mental instability. Anthony Hopkins co-stars.

SEPT. 23

CRY WOLF — Serial killer thriller, loosely based on the "Boy Who Cried Wolf" fable.

FLIGHTPLAN — Thriller starring Jodie Foster as a woman trying to find her missing daughter aboard a passenger jet.

ROLL BOUNCE — Bow Wow (minus the Li'l) stars in this '70s-period comedy-drama about roller skating.

TIM BURTON'S CORPSE BRIDE — Johnny Depp voices a character who accidentally weds a dead woman in this animated fantasy.
