Pitcher elected as regents vice chairman

Jed Pitcher has been elected to be vice chairman of the State Board of Regents, which oversees public higher education in Utah. The term of former vice chairman George Mantes ended in June.

Pitcher was appointed by the governor to be a regent in 2001. He recently retired as chairman of the board for Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Utah.

Pitcher is also a member of the Utah College of Applied Technology Board of Trustees.
