From Deseret News archives:

School board hasn't voted yet

I just opened my Aug. 27 paper to be greeted by the headline "School board snubs 'design.'" This headline intimates that the board has taken a vote on the issue. I am disappointed the Deseret Morning News would succumb to such shoddy journalism. The State Board of Education does not meet to discuss this issue until next Friday, which Jennifer Toomer-Cook brings out in her story. Personally, I have yet to even read the position statement. I have not yet received my packet for next week's meeting. As usual, the goal is to create a furor and sell newspapers.
