LAYTON The Layton Wild Bird Center has scheduled its Saturday-morning nature and bird walk through October, said store owner Bill Fenimore. "The cost of the walk, as we like to say, is 'enthusiasm'; we provide the rest. We leave the store at 8 a.m. (unless otherwise noted) and carpool to the destination."
The walks are designed for beginning birders, especially families. All birders are welcome. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars.
The schedule for September and October:
Sept. 10, Farmington Bay.
Sept. 17, Weber River Parkway.
Sept. 24, Beus Pond.
Oct. 1, Nature Conservancy Layton Wetlands.
Oct. 8, Kaysville, USU Botanical Gardens and Ponds.
Oct. 15, Kayscreek.
Oct. 29, East Kaysville Foothills Wilderness Park.
