OREM A public meeting will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Orem Senior Friendship Center, 93 N. 400 East, for parents interested in enrolling their children in the first public charter school in Orem. The Utah State Board of Education has granted an application for Noah Webster Academy, a K-6 public charter school which is slated to open for the 2006-07 school year.
The academy's goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment of classical education that fosters patriotism, cultural literacy, moral virtue, individuality, self-government and excellence. Curriculum will include a foreign language/cultural integration program, music, speech, art, theater, physical education, technology and junior achievement.
