TecServ Inc., a technology consulting company with offices in Salt Lake City and Phoenix, has announced it has received an equity investment from Grow Utah Ventures, a private equity venture fund formed by Utah entrepreneur Alan Hall.
The amount was not disclosed.
Hall, also chief executive officer of MarketStar, will join TecServ's board of directors.
TecServ has been a consulting and systems integration company but recently expanded into software distribution and marketing. Earlier this year, it announced that it signed a worldwide distribution agreement with Stoneware Inc., a software development company. Under the terms of the agreement, TecServ will partner with Stoneware to build a worldwide value-added reseller channel for Stoneware products and services.
