Intelligent design should not be taught in schools. Don't think I'm an atheist or something. I'm LDS and consider myself quite devout. It's just a simple matter of separation of church and state. When evolution is taught, those who believe in intelligent design will think that the scientific community has come up with evolution and will disregard the theory.
I will be in an AP biology class this school year and by all means hope evolution is taught. I would not mind if the teacher casually mentions the idea of intelligent design, but it should not be officially taught, especially when there isn't much to teach.
Religion should be kept in churches, seminaries and homes. If parents want their kids to learn intelligent design, it's their job to teach them.
