New England finally loses home match

Scott Sealy scored the winning goal in the 74th minute and the Kansas City Wizards snapped the New England Revolution's nine-match home winning streak with a 2-1 victory on Saturday night in Foxboro, Mass.

Sealy scored after a long pass from Josh Wolff at midfield.

Kansas City (8-5-8) took the lead in the 47th minute, when Chris Klein took a long ball from Wolff. Klein beat two New England defenders for a short shot past goalie Matt Reis.

New England (10-4-6) tied the match in the 48th minute when Shalrie Joseph scored his third goal of the season, a header to the top right corner, after a cross from Taylor Twellman.

Twellman had a goal waved off due to an offside in the 77th minute.

New England had five corner kicks by Jose Cancela during the first half and two good chances by Clint Dempsey, but was unable to break past Kansas City goalie Bo Oshoniyi.

METROSTARS 2, FC DALLAS 2: At Frisco, Texas, Youri Djorkaeff scored two second-half goals to help the MetroStars rally for a tie. Djorkaeff's goals wiped out a 2-0 halftime deficit for the MetroStars (7-6-8). FC Dallas (10-5-5) is winless in its last five games. Djorkaeff tied the game in the 53rd, looping a volley from about 20 yards that dropped into the left corner of the for his fifth goal of the season. Ante Razon earned the assist.

UNITED 3, FIRE 2: At Chicago, Brian Carroll, Dema Kovalenko and Moreno scored, and the D.C. United withstood a late rally to beat the Chicago. Carroll scored in the 41st minute to give the United (9-6-5) a 1-0 lead at the half. In the 72nd minute, Dema Kovalenko sent a left-footed shot past keeper Zach Thornton. Moreno converted with a right-footed shot to the left side of the net to make it 3-0.

Lubos Reiter tallied for the Fire (11-8-3) in the 83rd minute and five minutes later Chris Rolfe scored to make it 3-2. Freddy Adu started the match, but played only 35 minutes before exiting the game with a right MCL strain.

RAPIDS 2, GALAXY 0: At Denver, Jeff Cunningham scored seven minutes into the match and Colorado shut out Los Angeles. Los Angeles is winless in seven straight road wins. Cunningham's 11th goal of the season came on an assist from Terry Cooke, who faked a cross dribble toward the goal and then passed to Cunningham.
