I agree with your editorial concerning John Bolton's appointment as our U.N. ambassador. A small minority of our Congressmen have been blocking his appointment and creating all the anti-Bolton press. The important thing concerning Bolton is he is the president's choice. The United Nations doesn't need another "yes man" to go along with those Third-World countries that have no respect for the United States.
As Thomas Sowell wrote in the Deseret Morning News (Aug. 4), "Why do Third-World countries want or need foreign aid? Because private investors will seldom put their own money into projects that have no realistic chance of working or into countries too corrupt and unreliable to expect the money to be used responsibly, much less repaid."
John Bolton will be the spokesman for what the United States believes in.
