The University of Utah's incoming volleyball class has been named one of the top 10 2005 college recruiting classes in the August issue of Volleyball Magazine.

Utah's class is ranked eighth and is composed of outside hitters Airial Salvo and Kathryn Lovell, setter Shannon Krug and middle blocker Lori Baird. All four signed to play for the Utes last fall.

Since signing last November, the class has continued to shine on the court. Salvo made the Junior National team and is competing with it in Ankara, Turkey, this week. In addition to Salvo, Baird and Lovell are on the Intermountain Volleyball Association junior team, playing some of the top players in the world at the World Games this week.

Utah was the only MWC school listed in the rankings. Stanford took top honors, while Penn State and Nebraska round out the top three picks.
