Frank Cordova, director of the Utah Coalition of La Raza, which has joined the coalition, said the Latino community faces "the biggest crisis" when it comes to immigration.

"If you're truly undocumented, you get mistreated," Cordova said. "Even if you are legal, everyone thinks you're undocumented. It's a pretty tough situation."

Other coalition organizations include UPNet, Utah Republican Hispanic Assembly, Utah Hispanic Democrat Caucus, Salt Lake County Democrat Caucus, Utah Issues, Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Asian American Student Association, University of Utah, National Tongan American Society of Utah, Salt Lake Muslim Americans and Park City Community Outreach Center.

Individuals will soon be able to join by signing an online petition, Kwan said.
