Anthony C. Kaye has been named partner at the Salt Lake law offices of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll. Kaye maintains a general civil litigation practice, emphasizing complex commercial disputes. He is a graduate of Hamilton College and Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Two new lawyers also have joined the firm. Todd Lloyd and Cristina Coronado have joined the firm's business and finance department. Lloyd concentrates his practice on commercial lending, real property, telecommunications and general transactional law. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University and Northwestern University School of Law. Coronado concentrates her practice in the area of real estate law, including real estate finance, commercial leasing and timesharing. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Columbia Law School.

Desiree Valentin has joined Exit Realty Advantage as a Realtor. Valentin is a graduate of the Stringham Real Estate School in Salt Lake City. Prior to joining Exit Realty, Valentin worked at a real estate and development company in Sandy.

David W. Slaughter, an attorney with the Salt Lake law firm of Snow Christensen & Martineau, was appointed vice chairman of the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section Fidelity & Surety Law Committee. Slaughter's practice is in the area of contract formation, commercial and construction litigation and dispute resolution.

• Crowell Advertising announced three new hires. Dave Erickson was hired as interactive media specialist. Erickson is a University of Utah graduate and formerly worked as an interactive media planner at another firm. Summer Marchesseau was named account supervisor. Marchesseau is a graduate of Idaho State University. Linda Speer was hired as a receptionist. She is pursuing a marketing degree at Utah State University.

Dr. Andrea N. Smith has joined the IHC Physician Group Legacy OB/GYN Clinic in American Fork. Smith is a graduate of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She completed her internship and residency at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver.

Dr. Elizabeth R. Sunderman has joined the IHC Physician Group-Memorial Health Center in Salt Lake City. Sunderman received her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Washington in Seattle. She completed her medicine internship, neurology residency and neuromuscular fellowship training at the U. She will provide diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the brain, nervous system and spinal cord through non-surgical means.
