LDS choir extends application deadline

The application request deadline for men interested in joining the Mormon Tabernacle Choir has been extended to July 31.

Applicants must be between 25 and 55 years of age, live in the Wasatch Front area and be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in good standing.

Applications can be either downloaded from the choir's Web site at www.mormontabernaclechoir.org (click on "auditions") or requested by calling 801-240-4150. Completed applications must be postmarked by Aug. 15. Because of security regulations, they cannot be dropped off at church offices.

The next auditions for women are scheduled for will be in July 2006.
