Four nominees are being considered for a vacancy in Utah's 6th District Court. One of the nominees will replace Judge K.L. McIff, scheduled to retire Sept. 15.
Nominees are: Sanpete County Attorney Ross C. Blackham, Moroni; Sevier County Attorney R. Don Brown, Monroe; Garfield County Attorney Wallace A. Lee, Panguitch; Assistant Attorney General Cheryl D. Luke, Salt Lake City.
The public is invited to submit comments before the names are submitted to Gov. Jon M. Huntsman Jr. Statements can be sent to Commission Chair Kim Picket, c/o Administrative Office of the Courts, P.O. Box 140241, Salt Lake City, UT 84114. Comments must be received by 5 p.m. July 21.
