Huntsman names 4 trustees for UVSC

OREM — The governor has selected four new members for Utah Valley State College's Board of Trustees.

The Utah Senate must approve Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr.'s nominees to the trustee board. Once confirmed, the new members will assume their posts.

The governor's selections are Timothy R. Clark, Karen L. Acerson, Doyle Mortimer and Carolyn Merrill.

Their terms run until June 30, 2009.

Outgoing trustee members are John H. Zenger, Jonathan Coon, Melanie Bastian and David Bradford. All are leaving the board because their terms expired.

The board consists of 10 members, eight nominated by the governor and two nonvoting members who are the student body president and a UVSC graduate.
