Plenty of opportunities for Utahns to whoop it up on July 4

Utahns across the state will whoop it up American style for the annual July Fourth celebration — in many instances for several days, as the holiday follows a summertime weekend. The fun-for-everyone agenda includes:

Beaver County

Beaver: July 1, 2, 5th Annual Butch Cassidy Festival, Beaver City Park, 888-848-5081.

Milford: July 4, 10 a.m., parade, games and concessions at Pavilion Park, 10 p.m., fireworks, 435-387-2711.

Minersville: 6 a.m., flag-raising, 10 a.m., parade, 11 a.m., program and all-day carnival, 11:30 a.m., lunch, 6:30 p.m., rodeo, fireworks at dusk, Bally Hill, 435-438-2451.

Box Elder County

Brigham City: July 4, 8-11 a.m., breakfast, 9-10 a.m., patriotic program, 9-11 a.m., Wal-Mart fishing at Pioneer Pond, noon - 4 p.m., food, games in the park, teens t-ball tournament, 1 p.m., horseshoe contest, 8 p.m., concert in the park, Lake Bonneville Community Symphony; dusk, fireworks, Pioneer Park, 800 W. Forest, 435-734-2001.

Cache County

Hyrum : July 2, 10:30 a.m., Youth Parade, City Square, July 3, 7 p.m., patriotic program; July 4, 6:15 a.m., freedom run, 6:30 a.m., breakfast, 8 a.m., flag ceremony, noon, parade, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., booths, entertainment, City Square, 435-245-6033.

Lewiston: July 2, 7 p.m., rodeo at rodeo grounds; July 4, 6:30 a.m., Lewiston Volunteer Fire Department Pancake Breakfast, City Pavilion, 9:15 a.m., parade followed by arts contest display and quilt raffle, Community Building ballroom; entertainment and festival in the park; noon, rodeo and races, 5:30-7:30 p.m., dinner at the City Pavilion, 7 p.m., family movie at Lewiston Theater, dusk, fireworks.

Carbon County

East Carbon/ Sunnyside: July 7, noon-6 p.m., arts/crafts show, Bicentennial Building, July 8, 7:30 p.m., Rodeo, July 9, 7-10 a.m., LDS Youth Breakfast, 9:30 a.m., ATV Poker Run, Witmore Forks in Sunnyside Canyon, cash prizes, 10 a.m., parade at Miners Trading, 11 a.m., opening ceremonies, live entertainment, climbing wall, food, crafts booth, raffle, horseshoes, car show; 7:30 p.m., rodeo followed by dance at the East Carbon Park Pavilion, 435-888-6613.
