OGDEN — The Raptors won another wild game against the Casper Rockies, 10-7 by scoring in six innings and with timely pitching and defense throughout the game Tuesday.

Juan Rivera had four hits, three runs and an RBI for Ogden, and Jesus Soto, Russ Mitchell and B.J. Richmond added two RBIs each.

The Raptors broke a 7-7 tie and take the lead for good in the seventh inning on a double from Jason Mooneyham that scored Juan Apodaca, making the score 8-7. They added two more in the eighth on singles by David Sutherland and Apodaca.

After Casper scored two runs to tie the game 7-7, Jordan Pratt entered the game in the top of the seventh and struck out two batters to hold the Rockies.

He pitched two scoreless innings and was credited with the win.

Starter Kristopher Krise went 4 2/3 innings and gave up five runs — four earned — on six hits while striking out two.

Ramon Troncoso pitched the ninth inning and struck out two batters for his second save of the year.

Down 5-3, the Rockies scored two runs in the top of the fifth inning on a single by Cole Garner that right-fielder Richmond mishandled, allowing an extra runner to cross home plate and tie the game.

But Ogden came right back in the back in the bottom half of the inning with a two-run double by Richmond that scored Mitchell and Apodaca and gave the Raptors a 7-5 lead.

Ogden stymied a Casper rally in the sixth with some impressive defense.

Center fielder Sam Steidl threw out Daniel Mayora as he tried to score from second on a single by Mauris Loupadiero. Catcher Apodaca then made a perfect throw to catch Loupadiero trying to steal second.

Ogden took its first lead in the third inning with a five-hit rally. Jesus Soto singled in James McDonald, then Mitchell doubled in Rivera and Soto — all with one out — to go up 4-1.

Casper cut its deficit to one in the next inning. Mayora doubled with two outs to score Kyle Blumenthal and Trevor Allen.

The Raptors struck again in their next at bat when Rivera singled in James McDonald and gave Ogden a 5-3 lead.

Both teams scored a run in the first. Kyle Blumenthal doubled in a run for the Rockies, and Soto singled in Rivera for the Raptors.

The start of the game was delayed 30 minutes due to rain.
