FOOTBALL: Street & Smith's Sports Annuals has released its Street & Smith's College Football 2005 Yearbook. The University of Utah football team is featured prominently in the publication.

The Utes are ranked No. 25 in the magazine's preseason Top 25. In addition, defensive lineman Steve Fifita earned preseason All-America accolades. Fifita was named to the publication's third team.

In addition, Street & Smith's also lists four Ute players as preseason All-Mountain West Conference. Fifita, center Jesse Boone, linebacker Spencer Toone and strong safety Eric Weddle were all tabbed as tops in the MWC at their respective positions.

Utah State

FOOTBALL: Current St. Louis Rams and former Utah State wide receiver Kevin Curtis will highlight the Utah State Aggie-Up Project 250 Steak Fry at Murray Park tonight.

The event will take place at Murray Park Pavilion #2 at 493 E., 5300 South in Murray, Utah from 5 to 8 p.m. The objective is to solicit funds for the North End Zone renovation of Romney Stadium.

The program for the evening will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. and feature Curtis and former USU head football coach and current fund-raiser Chuck Shelton, as well as other guest speakers.

Curtis, who led the nation in receiving at USU in 2001, will enter his third year with the Rams. Last season, Curtis pulled in 32 receptions for 421 yards and two touchdowns.

VOLLEYBALL: Ten teams that participated in the 2004 NCAA tournament, including the defending national champion, highlight the 2005 Utah State women's volleyball schedule that was announced on Monday.
