COLUMBUS, Ohio Pat Noonan scored twice to help the New England Revolution to a 3-1 win over the Columbus Crew on Wednesday night.
The Revolution (8-1-4) overcame a fourth-minute goal by the Crew's Edson Buddle to keep the Crew (4-8-1) mired in last place in the Eastern Conference. After its first loss of the season last Saturday, 2-0 against D.C. United, New England took advantage of the lowly Columbus team to regain the form that saw the Revs start the season with an 11-game unbeaten streak.
FC DALLAS 2, CHIVAS USA 1: At Dallas, Abe Thompson scored in the 81st minute to win it. Thompson scored his second goal of the season on a header from inside the goalkeeper's box.
FC Dallas' David Wagenfuhr lofted a pass from 20 yards on the left flank to set up the score. Arturo Alvarez began the scoring sequence with a pass to Wagenfuhr.
FC Dallas (9-2-3) is 5-0 at home this season, while Chivas (1-11-3) has yet to win on the road.
