OREM An Oak Canyon Junior High School teacher will travel to Japan as part of a teacher exchange to promote cultural understanding between Japan and the United States.
Karen Bodily was one of 200 educators selected among a national pool of more than 2,500 applicants for the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund. Later this month she will travel to Japan for three weeks, starting in Tokyo.
The teachers will visit primary and secondary schools, a teachers college, and government officials and educators. They also will visit cultural sites and local industries. They will stay with Japanese families.
The program is not affiliated with national Fulbright Scholarship program.
