Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. has reappointed Pam Hendrickson as chairwoman of the Utah State Tax Commission.
"Hendrickson has done an excellent job of working with legislators, Utah businesses and taxpayers to promote the best interests of the state," Huntsman said. "Her expertise is invaluable to the citizens of Utah."
She is currently serving as one of two representatives of the governor's office on the state's Tax Reform Task Force, which is expected to recommend a major overhaul of Utah's tax system in time for the 2006 Legislature.
Hendrickson had served as Sevier County assessor for 14 years before being appointed to the Tax Commission in 1997. She was named chairwoman in 2000 by former Gov. Mike Leavitt.
Hendrickson's appointment still must be confirmed by the Utah Senate on June 15.
