After having lived throughout the country for most of my adult life, I was shocked at finding that bigotry is not only tolerated but is an acceptable form of discourse in Salt Lake City politics. That Leslie Reynolds-Benns, a candidate for the City Council, would make her antipathy toward "white Mormon Republican" representation from her district the central plank of her campaign is appalling. Such inflammatory narrow-mindedness would not be allowed from a serious candidate elsewhere. Please tell me, where is Rocky Anderson when his ilk crosses the line from acceptable discourse to despicable diatribe?
