I think the debate over Mayor Rocky Anderson's parking spot at the airport is totally asinine. Executive officers in business get their own parking spot for their own private use. In the first place, they've earned it. Mayor Anderson is an executive officer for the city of Salt Lake.
Secondly, it is also a security issue, a security measure employed in order to minimize exposure to a possibly disgruntled worker.
As much as I may or may not agree with Mayor Anderson, he deserves his own parking spot.
