Utah Housing Corp. is offering $30 million in mortgage funds at 5.34 percent interest to help low- and moderate-income families purchase homes.
UHC is a public corporation of the state, providing affordable housing opportunities without using public funds or government appropriations. It expects that 230 families will be able to buy a home with the assistance offered under the program. The interest rate is expected to save the typical Utah lower-income household as much as $15,000 in payments over the life of the loan, UHC said.
UHC loans are obtainable through 33 lenders in 160 offices across the state. Details are available in a free brochure by calling 801-902-8200 or 800-301-6950, or going online to www.utahhousingcorp.org.
