Utah State Fair organizers are inviting everyone to participate in the fair's sesquicentennial celebration by submitting their memories of the fair.
Whether you come to show livestock, take in a grandstand concert, eat your way around the Fairpark or reunite with friends and family, officials would love to hear your favorite memory of the Utah State Fair.
Tell about your favorite memory in 150 words or less. Was it from your childhood or just last year? Selected entries will be posted on the Web site, www.utahstatefair.com, and may be used as part of the fair's advertising campaign.
Deadline for submissions is July 1.
Mail your written memories to 150th Utah State Fair, 155 N. 1000 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84116, or e-mail them to utstfair@fiber.net. Be sure to include your name, address and phone number.
If you have memorabilia from past state ffairs, they may be included during this year's fair Sept. 8-18. Pictures, programs, concert ticket stubs, blue ribbons and awards, or Utah State Fair souvenirs will be displayed. Display participants will receive a ticket for free gate admission to the state fair. Season passes will be awarded for the oldest piece of memorabilia. Deadline for historical exhibit submissions is July 31, 2005.
