Registration for the American Diabetes Association's two-day Tour de Cure bike ride is now open. The ride is June 4-5 and offers 40-, 60- and 100-mile routes.
Registration is $20, plus a $100 minimum donation. More than 400 Utah cyclists and volunteers are expected to participate in the event, which seeks to raise diabetes awareness. The disease affects 6.2 percent of the population, including 120,000 Utahns.
The three routes all begin and end in Brigham City, weaving through Golden Spike National Park and Box Elder County.
For more information or to register, call 1-888-DIABETES (888-342-2383) or go online to www.diabetes.org/tour.
