The Kaysville/Fruit Heights Iris Society is hosting an iris show May 28 at the Utah Botanical Center Utah House, 920 S. 50 West, Kaysville, from noon-5 p.m. Exhibits will be accepted from 7-10 a.m. Call 544-5190 or 544-3652 for more information.

During the May 28 show, visitors will be able to view the center's iris collection. Make notes of the varieties you like, because the Davis Count Master Gardeners will host a late summer sale of the varieties in their collection. All proceeds will support the Utah Botanical Center.

The Utah Iris Society will host its "Spring Dreams" Iris Show Saturday, 1-5 p.m., at the Sugarhouse Garden Center, 1602 E. 2100 South. The show features irises from throughout the state. The show is free and open to the public. For more information, call 352-1172.

A workshop on Square Foot Gardening will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Cornerstone Evangelical Church, 7762 S. 700 West, Midvale. Cost is $15. For more information, e-mail jrt2020@mstar2.net.Another class will be held at 10 a.m. at the Ogden Nature Center, 966 W. 12th Street. Cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. For more information, call 621-7595.

North Salt Lake is offering a free class on perennials at 7 p.m. Thursday. Classes are held at the North Salt Lake City offices, 20 S. Highway 89.
