Woman who is wanted in California is arrested

OREM — Orem police arrested a woman Sunday who was wanted on warrant by California law-enforcement officials.

A man traveling with the Washington woman also was arrested for investigation of possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended drivers license, according to a statement by Orem Police Lt. Doug Edwards. Both were booked into the Utah County Jail. The two were stopped at 25 W. Center on a traffic violation, Edwards said.The police officer and his dog found drugs on the woman and also discovered the felony assault warrant from California had been issued for her arrest.
