CHRISTOPHER PHILLIPS, author of "Socrates Cafe," will discuss his newest book, "Six Questions of Socrates," and open a dialogue with the audience in the hope of organizing a Socrates Cafe group in Salt Lake City, Tuesday, 7 p.m., The King's English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East.

NAIDA WEST, co-author with Don Ian Smith of "Murder on the Middle Fork," will sign copies of her book, Tuesday, 5-7 p.m., The King's English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East.

JON HUNTSMAN SR., author of "Winners Never Cheat," will sign copies of his new book, Wednesday, noon, ZCMI Deseret Book.

RICHARD MENZIES, author of "Passing Through: An Existential Journey Across America's Outback," will present a slide show of his photographs and discuss his book, Wednesday, 7 p.m., in the Alta Club, on the corner of South Temple and State.

SUE ELLEN COOPER, author of "The Red Hat Society: Fun and Friendship After 50" and "The Red Hat Society's Laugh Lines: Stories of Inspiration and Hattitude," will discuss her books, Wednesday, 7 p.m. (doors open 6:30 p.m.), Davis County Library's South Branch, 725 S. Main, Bountiful.

JANINE SIMONS CREAGER, author of "He Marked the Path: Following the Savior on the Pathway to Peace," will discuss the topic, "Yes You Can: Navigating the Self-Publishing Maze," Thursday, 6:30 p.m., Park Library, 4800 S. 2700 West.

JODIE EVANS, editor of "Stop the Next War Now: Effective Responses to Violence and Terrorism," a collection of essays by various political writers, will read from and sign copies of the book, Friday, 7 p.m., The King's English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East.

JOANNE KYGER, a poet with more than 30 collections to her credit, will read from and sign copies of her books, Thursday, 7 p.m., Ken Sanders Rare Books, 268 S. 200 East.

AMBASSADOR JOSEPH WILSON, author of "The Politics of Truth: Inside the Lies that Led to War and Betrayed My Wife's CIA Identity," will discuss his book Saturday, noon, Sundance Tree Room, $70 per person includes lunch and autographed copy of the book (223-4567).

CINDY MICHELI, Capitol Reef National Park interpretive park ranger, will present a slide presentation, "Another Day in Paradise: The Historic Orchards of Fruita," Saturday, 7:30 p.m., Robber's Roost Bookstore, Main Street, Torrey.

BARRY SHEPPARD, author of "The Party: The Socialist Workers Party, 1960-1988," will read from and sign copies of his book, Saturday, 3 p.m., Sam Weller's Zion Bookstore, 254 S. Main.
