Talkin' talk radio

To most Utahns, what Sean Hannity has to say is music to our ears. If you want to hear sarcastic, mean-spirited language, listen to the network morning news.

I have been a Republican for 55 years. Don Gale's column expresses my views completely. The villains he names are so offensive that I've found other places to call "home." Thank you, Mr. Gale, for calling ugly, ugly.

G. Don Gale states "those who entertain with rudeness, incivility and misinformation . . . hinder American progress," while simultaneously comparing KSL Radio to "Hitler." The irony speaks volumes.

It is difficult to believe that men of the stature of Ted Wilson and John Preston Creer cannot distinguish between passion and hatred. What I have heard from Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly is conviction expressed with enthusiasm and zeal.

If Mr. Creer thinks Sean Hannity is hateful, he should listen to the rhetoric spewing from Michael Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Al Franken, The Dixie Chicks and Sen. Ted Kennedy.

Judging from the Readers' Forum, it seems Don Gale struck a chord with some readers. I classify Hannity and O'Reilly as very cordial and polite when they disagree with someone. Liberals label anything they don't like to hear as hate, even when its the truth.

It is really time for KSL to review its policies regarding nationally circulated programs which encourage ridicule. It isn't the KSL we like to remember. Our thanks to Don Gale for this thoughtful piece.
