SLCC sets demo and open house

Salt Lake Community College's Geographic Information Systems program is the recipient of $100,000 in donated equipment and materials from the local offices of Dell Computers, Cisco Systems and ESRI, a company that produces GIS software and technology.

To celebrate, SLCC is hosting an open house Wednesday, 1 to 3 p.m., at the Redwood Campus Science and Technology Building, Room 359B. Prior to the open house, there will be a GIS demonstration in Room 203 of the Technology Building to show how GIS is used in daily life.
