LOGAN (AP) A judge has sentenced a Logan mother of two to life in prison without the chance of parole for killing her ex-husband nearly two years ago.
Forty-six-year-old Tamara Rhinehart avoided a possible death penalty when she pleaded guilty to aggravated murder for her role in the shooting death of 47-year-old Michael Boudrero in July 2003.
Rhinehart, who has said she arranged the slaying to collect Social Security and life insurance benefits, was sentenced April 29 by 1st District Judge Gordon Low in Logan.
Rhinehart's boyfriend carried out the slaying.
Forty-year-old Craig Duncan Nicholls also is serving life in prison without the possibility of parole.
