Health violations at Joseph Smith Memorial Building restaurants were listed incorrectly in a story Sunday.
Data provided from the Salt Lake Valley Health Department had lumped violations from five different food establishments there together as if they were one operation.
That led to the building being listed incorrectly on a list of food establishments with the most violations. However, the number of violations per food establishment there was actually about average.
Data the Health Department provided Tuesday show the Garden restaurant had five "critical" and 17 total violations per inspection in 2003-04; the Roof restaurant had five "critical" and 15.3 total violations per inspection; the banquet kitchen had 4.3 "critical" and 10 total violations per inspection; the satellite kitchen had 1.3 "critical" and 4.7 total violations per inspection; and the commissary and bakery had 1 "critical" and 14 total violations per inspection.
Critical violations are those most likely to cause foodborne illness if not corrected quickly.
