The annual Dixie Spring Garden Tour is scheduled Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Several privately owned gardens in the Santa Clara Heights and Ivins areas will be highlighted. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Continuing Education office at Dixie State College, Evelyn's Inc., R&K Bookstore, the St. George Recreation Center, Plant World Nursery and Star Nursery. All proceeds will benefit a Dixie State College scholarship. For more information, call 453-652-7671.
Learn to design your flower beds like the professionals at Temple Square and Thanksgiving Point. Join Larry Sagers for a design class at Thanksgiving Point (register at 768-7443) or the Utah Botanical Center (451-3403). Classes start the first week of May. Cost is $40.
The Utah Iris Society will host two shows at the Sugarhouse Garden Center, 1602 E. 2100 South. On May 7, from 1-5 p.m., "A Walk in the Garden" will feature early blooming iris. "Spring Dreams," on May 21, from 1-5 p.m., will feature later iris. Both shows are free.
