Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament

Eight of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's 12 teams advance to the MSPF tournament. New this year is a bye through the quarterfinals given to the league's regular-season champion (Pepperdine), with the seventh- and eighth-place finishers — Cal State Northridge and Stanford — facing off in a first-round match for the right to meet second-seeded UCLA.

Another postseason perk has top-seeded Pepperdine facing the lowest-seeded semifinalist in one of the April 28 semifinals, with the other two semifinalists squaring off in the second match.

The winners advance to the April 30 MPSF championship match, with the winner claiming the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Final Four, scheduled for May 5 and 7 at UCLA. Tournament winners from two other conferences claim automatic spots, with a second MSPF team likely to receive the fourth and final NCAA invite.
