The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced Wednesday that it has settled its lawsuit against Autoliv ASP Inc. in Utah.
The company agreed to pay $70,000 to a former employee, Judy Day, who alleged that the company denied reasonable accommodations in the form of job reassignment, following her disability or injury leave.
Day will receive $70,000 back pay and compensatory damages. In addition, the company agreed to refrain from practices that violate the Americans With Disabilities Act, and train employees, supervisors and managers about the act.
