PROVO Elder Earl C. Tingey, who serves in the Presidency of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will speak and conduct at Brigham Young University's April 2005 commencement exercises Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Marriott Center.
Also speaking at the exercises will be BYU President Cecil O. Samuelson, BYU Alumni Association President Carr C. Krueger and Shuei Chen Valerie Woo, a senior from Singapore who will be graduating with university honors in economics.
Both KBYU-TV Channel 11 and KBYU-FM 89.1 will broadcast the commencement exercises live. Most campus offices will close at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Samuelson will also host a reception for graduates and their parents in the BYU Museum of Art from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday.
College convocations will be held Friday at various times and locations.
