FULL NAME: Kyle David Whittingham
AGE: 45 (Nov. 21, 1959)
FAMILY: Wife Jamie; children Tyler (19), Melissa (17), Alex (13), Kylie (7). Oldest of five children, three brothers, one sister.
HOBBIES: Water-skiing at Lake Powell with his family, doing crossword puzzles, playing tennis, working out in the gym and watching his sons play baseball. He has little patience for golf, which he may be forced to play more in his new job. "If I have five hours, I sure as heck am not going to a golf course," he said.
FAVORITE MUSIC: Classic rock. When he's riding in his pickup truck, he'll take in the sounds of Steely Dan, Bad Company, Kansas or Lynyrd Skynyrd. "I listen to it going to and from work so I can avoid talk radio," he says. "I challenge anyone to a classic rock trivia contest."
FAVORITE MOVIES: "Back to the Future," "Princess Bride," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." "My all-time favorite probably is 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,' " he said.
FAVORITE TV: Sporting events or "SportsCenter." The only time Whittingham gets to watch television is sometimes late at night when he can catch some highlights. "I'm probably the only person in America who has never seen one episode of 'Seinfeld,' 'Friends' or any reality TV show," Whittingham says. "Ever."
